SAT and ACT
There are two types of tests that most universities require for admissions. The exams are SAT and ACT. SAT is the most common test in the western part of the country, and the ACT is the most common in the Eastern part. This test are offered multiple times per year and you are not required to take both exams, it all depends on the University’s requirements. To confirm which exam you must take review the college’s requirements.

SAT
- Students typically take in their third year of college (junior); the majority of students retake the exam multiple times. Por lo regular es tomado tres veces con la intención de mejorar los resultados.
- You submit the best score to the universities.
- The exam consists of three sections: Math, Lecture, and Science. The vast majority of answers consist of multiple choice sections. .
- You must register for the exam 3 weeks prior to the exam date.
- You will be penalized for incorrect answers.
ACT
- The ACT consists of four sections, English, Math, Reading, Science reasoning. In 2005 a writing section was added.
- This exam does not penalize for incorrect answers. The score is measured only with the correct answers.
