• Utilicé un correo electrónico profesional. Gmail ofrece correo electrónico gratis. Primer nombre. Apellido name@gmail.com siempre es una opción profesional.

• Mande una carta de interés con su currículo. Esto puede incluirse en el correo electrónico o como documento adjunto.

• Si es posible convierta su currículo en un PDF para asegurarse que el formato no se pierda.

• Este alerto/a a posibles estafas, y nunca revele información financiera o proporcione pagos en línea sin verificar la compañía o la persona con quien usted esta en contacto.

• Búsqueda de trabajo puede tomar mucho tiempo. La clave es encontrar oportunidades que requieren de sus habilidades en cuanto se publican. Marcando las páginas de sus sitios favoritos le ayudara para organizarse y hacer sus búsquedas más eficientes.

Monster
With over a million job postings and over 150 million resumes at any one time, Monster has one of the largest job search databases available. In addition to its job search and resume posting tools, Monster also offers career advice and a beta tool for researching companies.

Career Builder
CareerBuilder allows you to search for job openings by location or job category (i.e. engineering, finance, information technology, etc.). Employers are able to search the site for candidates as well.

Indeed
Indeed enables users to find jobs posted on thousands of company career sites and job boards. Indeed also offers valuable position data like basic salary, job postings per capita, and industry employment trends.

Simply Hired
Simply Hired is a job search engine that allows searches by title, category, company, location and so on. You can save your searches for future reference and set up e-mail alerts to notify you when new jobs are posted.

USA.gov
USAJOBS is the U.S. Government’s official portal for federal jobs and employment information.

Dice
Dice is the leading career site for technology and engineering professionals.

Beyond
Beyond connects job seekers and employers through 70 unique career channels and 3,000 industry and regional communities. The site includes access to job search functions, networking features, statistics and social and industry research.

Hound
Hound serves consumer job seekers, recruiting firms, university career services offices, unemployment offices and outplacement firms, bringing job opening research, and employer information

Idealist
Idealist connects people, organizations, and resources around issues of social justice. This is a great resource to find philanthropic or non-profit career opportunities and employers.

LinkedIn
LinkedIn gives you the ability to search for jobs, and it gives employers the opportunity to search for candidates. LinkedIn recently added a resume builder tool that allows you to import your profile into one of several template options and then customize it.

Mashable Jobs
Mashable‘s job board provides listings for the latest social media and web job opportunities. It’s easy to search, and it not only provides full-time positions but sometimes harder to find contract, temporary and internship opportunities. You can subscribe to job listings via RSS as well.
